WILLEMSTAD - The four officers who are alleged to have been guilty of theft, violation of the opium national ordinance and misuse of official powers have been released from jail.
The examining magistrate has given the officers house arrest. They are also not allowed to have contact with each other.
The investigation under the responsibility of the Public Prosecution Service in Curaçao is carried out by the Internal Affairs Office of the Curaçao Police Force and is still ongoing.
The Public Prosecution Service opposes release under conditions and has therefore immediately appealed against the decision of the examining magistrate to release them.
