WILLEMSTAD - The morning newspaper Extra has indicated that fourteen murder cases from 2017 have still not been solved. The paper again focused on the cases and spoke with police spokesman Imro Zwerwer.
It concerns a case at a gym, the murder of an ex-politician, an business owner and a member of the Coast Guard. In addition, the murder cases of four people at Parera, five people at Buena Vista and the death of the young rapper Becholiza are still unresolved.
Zwerwer argues that all cases, no matter how old they are, still have the attention of the police. To date, no one has been arrested in connection with the above cases. The spokesperson mentions a lack of information from the community. "Police occasionally receive information, but not enough to launch an investigation."
“The older a case gets, the less information comes in,” says Zwerwer. That is why the police are calling on people to come forward if they have information or tips regarding the unsolved cases.
