THE HAGUE - Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten may also deviate from the budgetary norms in 2021. How much is not yet known, but in 2020 the deviation was equal to the liquidity support of the Netherlands.
The fourth tranche is again an interest-free loan and is paid as an advance to Aruba and Curaçao. For Aruba that is 71 million florins. Curaçao will not receive an advance, because there is still enough money in the treasury.
Sint Maarten has a shortage of almost 9 million guilders. Today the government has finally reached an agreement with the Netherlands. This means that St. Maarten will also receive liquidity support from the Netherlands.
