WILLEMSTAD - The French navy ship the "BSAOM Dumont D’Urville" will have a special training this weekend on and around Curaçao. On Sunday in the morning, from around 8 a.m., they will perform a so-called amphibious landing with vehicles on Playa Santa Cruz.
The Dumont D’Urville is, similar to the Dutch support ship Zr.Ms Pelikaan, working in the Caribbean where it helps the French navy in the fight against drug trafficking or provides emergency assistance.
It is possible to view the exercise, provided that appropriate distance is kept and the soldiers are not hindered in their work.
