From tomorrow no more covid measures in Aruba

Local | By Correspondent February 16, 2022

ORANJESTAD - Aruba will end the corona measures from tomorrow. Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes announced this in a press conference on Wednesday.

Only travelers who have not been vaccinated still have to show a negative PCR test to enter the island. Aruban residents may take a test on arrival, tourists must do this within 48 hours before departure. Travelers who have had two vaccinations and a booster shot do not need to test.

According to Wever-Croes, Aruba is out of the fifth corona wave and the island is ready to reopen. She calls the current measures 'no longer justifiable'. The infections on the island continue to fall and the IC beds also remain empty.

The Prime Minister stresses that it is still good to stick to the basic measures such as washing hands and (where possible) keeping distance.
