WILLEMSTAD - Beginning next week Tuesday, December 2, the standard price of gasoline on Curaçao will decrease, while the price of diesel will increase. The Regulatory Authority of Curaçao (RAC) announced the adjustments today in its monthly update on fuel and utility tariffs.

Gasoline, currently priced at 2.048 guilders per liter, will drop to 1.981 guilders per liter, a reduction of just over six cents.

Diesel will move in the opposite direction. The price per liter will rise from 1.612 guilders to 1.715 guilders, an increase of slightly more than ten cents.

Water Tariff Decreases; Electricity Remains Stable

The RAC also confirmed that the water tariff will decrease starting Monday, while electricity rates will remain virtually unchanged.

As the island’s regulator, the RAC monitors price developments in petroleum products and public utilities and adjusts tariffs monthly according to international market movements and local cost structures.
