WILLEMSTAD - Good news about prices at the gas station. Motorists will pay a lot less for fuel at the gas station next month. The liter price of diesel and gasoline can even drop by 37 cents. This is according to the Minister of Economy Cijntje.
The price reduction will be implemented in two steps. First 15 cents for gasoline and 20 cents for diesel. After that, 17 cents will be deducted from the liter price. International oil prices have fallen sharply in recent months. The contract between the Curaçao Refinery (RdK) and the intended operator of the refinery CPR for Bullen Bay also influences the fuel prices. The company can store 7 million barrels of oil at Bullen Bay.
