Fuel prices drop, electricity prices rise slightly

WILLEMSTAD - Starting Tuesday, fuel prices will decrease while electricity prices will see a slight increase. This information comes from the Regulatory Authority of Curaçao, the entity responsible for announcing prices for fuel, electricity, and gas. 

The new fuel prices will take effect on Tuesday. From that day, drivers will pay a bit less at the pump. The price of gasoline will decrease from 2.20 guilders to 2.17 guilders per liter. Diesel prices will also drop by 4 cents, from 1.73 guilders to 1.69 guilders per liter. The price of gas will remain unchanged, with households continuing to pay 80 guilders for a large LPG tank and 16 guilders for a small one. 

Electricity prices will increase by one cent, from 0.66 guilders to 0.67 guilders per kWh. The water tariff will see a significant hike, with households having to pay 30 cents more. In June, the price was 8.77 guilders per cubic meter of water, but starting July 1, it will rise to 9.07 guilders per cubic meter.
