Fuel rates are going up

WILLEMSTAD - The price of gasoline, diesel, water and electricity will increase in Curaçao from March 1. This reports Bureau Telecommunication and Post (BT&P) in its monthly press release.

The current rate for gasoline will increase by 14 cents from 2.33 guilders to 2.47 guilders. The current price for diesel is 1.76 guilders, this will increase to 1.90 guilders.

Electricity and water prices will also rise from March. As of March 1, customers pay 65 cents per KiloWatt of electricity and 8.90 guilders for a cubic meter of water.

 

According to BT&P, there is an increase of thirty percent. This is due to an increase in purchase prices.
