WILLEMSTAD - Fundashon Ser'i Otrobanda is one of the nominees for the Appeltje van Oranje award. On Saturday, a pitch day was held for both Curaçao and Dutch contenders, where participants had to present their projects to a jury.
The jury selected ten candidates for the Appeltje van Oranje award, from which three winners will be chosen to receive a prize of 25,000 euros and a bronze Appeltje van Oranje.
Previously, the Daily Meal Program Curaçao received the highest number of votes among all Caribbean participants in the first round. The Daily Meal Program garnered nearly three thousand votes, but it was not selected by the jury as one of the finalists.
The awards will be presented in October by Queen Máxima, the patroness of the Oranje Fonds.
