WILLEMSTAD - Following earlier agreements with representatives of the U.S. Air Force on a temporary arrangement for the identification of military aircraft within the Curaçao Flight Information Region (FIR), DC-ANSP and the Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority have, in recent days, finalized additional arrangements intended to apply over a longer term.
The primary objective of these agreements is to ensure that no conflict situations arise between military and civilian aircraft operating in the Curaçao FIR. The measures are, in principle, valid until further notice and are expected to have no, or only limited, impact on civil air traffic. Airlines will be informed through the usual communication channels.
