WILLEMSTAD - The Golf Cart Garage of Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort burned down completely in the night from Saturday to Sunday. Blue Bay has announced this in a statement to its residents.
The Golf Course will therefore remain closed until further notice. The Blue Bay team says it is working on a solution to reopen the golf course as soon as possible. The garage with 50 golf carts and all equipment have been declared a total loss, the resort said.
The fire took place between 3.30 and 4.30 am. Neighbors heard a huge bang, then a fire broke out. No injuries were reported in the fire, but material damage was extensive. That's why the golf course can't open. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and an investigation is underway.
