WILLEMSTAD - The Selikor garbage collectors are back at work. The waste collection service and trade union BTG have confirmed this. On Tuesday afternoon, the first bins were already emptied.
Fransley Sillé of trade union BTG says that the strike started on Monday to convince the management to repair all garbage trucks within five weeks. However, due to the strike, the work piled up and the work became twice as hard for the employees.
The employees were also fed up with the amount of criticism they received via social media. The garbage collectors want to know which plan the management will now implement.
