WILLEMSTAD - The general practitioner who was active in Bonaire, but who also worked in Curaçao in the past, Dr. Michael Hermelijn has died last night in the CMC Hospital in Curaçao.
Dr. Hermelijn was infected with COVID-19 and was brought to Curaçao due to complications. Yesterday the news came out that Dr. Hermelijn no longer had corona. However, he passed away shortly afterwards. It is the second person to die in Curaçao after a corona infection. In March a Dutch tourist died in the hospital.
