Get ready for a laugh

Local | By Press release June 28, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Last Saturday the CliniClowns Fun(d)raising golf tournament 2021 took place after it was postponed in March due to the lockdown. More than 80 enthusiastic participants spread over the morning and afternoon played in teams of two for charity.

Hilarity all around when the clowns did their very best to find the 'golfers'. With great enthusiasm and armed with diving goggles and surfboard, they dived into the course. Many generous sponsors provided great prizes for the best teams, among other prizes there was also a CliniClowns' own prize for the one who hit 'closest to the nose'. The prizes were awarded with the help of the CliniClowns, which made for a happy ending to the day. “We are very happy with the enthusiasm and support of the golf community, and the enormous help of Curacao Golf and Squash club in the organization. It was again heartwarming and a great success,” according to the organization.

The foundation indicated that it would use the proceeds for the continuity of the work and the continuous training of the clowns.

The CliniClowns Curaçao Foundation has been providing distraction and fun for sick children, children with disabilities and people with dementia for almost 13 years. The professional and trained clowns visit the various institutions for free. The foundation is entirely dependent on support from the Curaçao community, including through fundraising activities of this kind, (monthly) donations and gifts and corporate partners.
