WILLEMSTAD - The battle for the Isla's strategic partnership does not seem over yet. The company Socap of Venezuelan Luis Giusti seemed to have the best papers, but now GIK bv of the Brazilian Roberto Viana is again joining the fray.
Following the judge's verdict this week, GIK says through their lawyer Rudsel Martha that they have no difficulty in meeting all environmental standards. Unions reacted with concern to the judge's ruling this week because they fear that the strict environmental requirements would turn potential operators out.
