WILLEMSTAD - The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Health (GMN) has withdrawn medicines containing the potentially carcinogenic substance AZBT from the market.
These are medicines for high blood pressure and heart failure, which have also been recalled in Canada, the Netherlands and the US. According to the Inspectorate, the damage appears to be not so bad in Curaçao. The users of the medications are most at risk if they are used for a long time.
