WILLEMSTAD – Joel José Da Silva Goes has stepped down with immediate effect as statutory director of Goisco following his recent arrest for possession of an illegal firearm. The company announced the decision in an official press release.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the early morning hours during a domestic dispute, during which Da Silva Goes produced a firearm. He was subsequently taken into custody.
Shortly after the arrest, his attorney issued a statement confirming that the service agreement with Da Silva Goes was terminated at the request of the family due to the illegal weapon possession.
Goisco stresses that the leadership change will not affect its day-to-day operations. The company notes that Da Silva Goes had reportedly not been actively involved in daily management for some time.
