"Good information about vaccination is important"

Local | By Correspondent April 19, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Everyone has the right to decide for themselves whether they want to be vaccinated, but that choice must be based on the correct information. Dr Izzy Gerstenbluth argued for this during the press conference at the end of last week. No one should be forced or discriminated against if they don't get vaccinated, says Gerstenbluth.

It is important that people base themselves on the correct information, and not on incorrect information that is disseminated. Anyone can shout anything on Facebook, according to Dr. Gerstenbluth.

The correct information, according to the doctor, is that if you are vaccinated, the chance of getting sick from COVID-19 is very much smaller.

A supermarket on Curacao threatened last week to no longer admit its staff if they do not have an appointment for vaccination. In Aruba, a hotel offered $ 300 to their staff if they got vaccinated.
