WILLEMSTAD - The agenda that Curaçao has drawn up together with the Netherlands for the implementation of the National Package is now being implemented. Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath announced this in a video message yesterday. The so-called country package contains an implementation agenda that includes various measures. These are aimed at strengthening the rule of law and improving financial policy, the tax system, healthcare and education in Curaçao.
The agreement for the implementation of the country package was signed on 2 November last year, after many months of negotiations. The government now says, six weeks before the new elections, it will take measures for a stronger, more resilient and sustainable economy and community.
