Government on a collision course with governor

Local | By Correspondent July 31, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - The government is on a collision course with the governor. Premier Rhuggenaath and his team think that she is jeopardizing the opening of the new hospital.

Recently the governor refused to sign a national decision for another 200 million guilders in loans.

In a 6-page letter to the Council of State, the government denies losing money on the hospital's ground lease and the loan repayment of 436 million.

A senior official from the Ministry of Finance has warned about this before.
