WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) is calling on individuals involved in the illegal dumping of waste at Dam Pretu to come forward. The ministry made the appeal in a press release following the circulation of a video on social media. The footage shows discarded waste, including bank statements bearing the name of a resident from Seru Grandi.
The government is urging those responsible to report themselves and is also asking the public to share any information that could help identify the perpetrators, including those who transported the waste.
"Illegal dumping is a punishable offense and is entirely unacceptable, especially considering there are free and legal ways to dispose of waste through government-provided services," the GMN ministry emphasized.
Authorities are committed to addressing the environmental damage caused by this act and hope that public cooperation will lead to swift action against the violators.
