WILLEMSTAD – On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, author and artist Saida Hernandez visited the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort, to present her book Hasibu di kas. Hernandez was accompanied by representatives of the Bloemhof Foundation, director Nicole Henriquez and board member Michele Russel-Capriles.
During the meeting, Hernandez handed the Governor a copy of her new publication and offered an in-depth explanation of her artwork Hustisia, which she had previously presented to him. The discussion highlighted the themes and cultural significance behind her work, which explores justice, heritage, and personal reflection within the Curaçaoan context.
The visit underscored the continued collaboration between local artists and cultural institutions in promoting Curaçao’s creative heritage.
