WILLEMSTAD - The third free soccer clinic, organized by the group of the 'Ban Vèlt Bèk' project, took place on the field in Lagun last Saturday, March 23. 16 ladies from different neighborhoods such as Lagun, Soax, Westpunt and Montaña, participated in the football training provided by Coach Verda Betrian and Danaë Daal. Together with chairman Nathaly Jamanika of 'Fundashon Pro Bario Lagun', the trio ensured that the children, ages 6-12, received a soccer training in which they learned the basics such as ball control, ball walking and movement. Furthermore, individual donations from the community for food and drink were provided for the participating children.
The aim of the project is to create a low-threshold platform to get as many young ladies as possible to move through soccer. The fourth edition will take place in Westpunt. The intention is to provide a clinic once a month in different neighborhoods, starting in the neighborhoods of 'Banda Bou' and ending in 'Banda Ariba'.
