PHILADELPHIA - Baseball player Didi Gregorius led his American club Philadelphia Phillies to a victory over Miami Marlins with a grand slam homerun.
The 30-year old Curaçaoan hit the ball out of the park in the first inning, with all the bases loaded. Gregorius immediately gave his team a 4-0 lead.

The team from Philadelphia did not relinquish that lead. In the eighth inning, when it was 7-5, the team scored five runs. Gregorius was one of the players to reach home plate. The Phillies were victorious in the empty Marlins Park with 12-6.
Due to the corona crisis, the season in the Major League started a few months later than planned and has therefore been shortened from 162 to 60 games per team.
The play-offs will start in two weeks. Gregorius is heading for the Philadelphia Phillies to participate in those play-offs. The Curaçaoan, who is in his first season with the Phillies after several years with the New York Yankees, hit his seventh homerun of the season in Miami.
