WILLEMSTAD - Justice Minister Shalten Hato was present on Monday at the Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Kòrsou (SDKK) prison during the presentation of ten hairdressing diplomas. The government announced this in a press release.

In addition to Hato, who presented the diplomas, the Minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare, Ruthmilda "Mimi" Larmonie-Cecilia and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Sithree "Cey" Van Heydoorn were also present.
The prison offers various courses as part of the SDKK's rehabilitation program. Hairdresser Paulo has trained a total of ten trainees to become a professional hairdresser in three months. All clients who participated in the course passed.
The minister emphasizes that the prisoners must seize every opportunity to expand their knowledge. “It is intended that everyone who leaves the SDKK will have a new perspective and new skills to have a decent job and support their family.”
