WILLEMSTAD - The trade unions have agreed to the entry into the state-owned company Refineria Isla (RdK) as a provisional operator of the refinery. As a result, more and more employees report to the owner of the Isla.
They are employed by Curaçao Refinery Utilities (CRU), the operator of the BOO plant. Of the 900, 475 were registered yesterday. They are assured that they are still entitled to a severance payment from the former operator of the refinery, the PdVSA.
