WILLEMSTAD - The management only allows the staff of the Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) to be in the office for four hours. This is based on the advice of the health and safety service.
The civil servants complained about mold and a malfunctioning air conditioner. The office has now been thoroughly cleaned. “In consultation with the health and safety service, we will look at when the staff can work full-time in the building again,” said a member of the management team. The ministry still encourages working from home. Some civil servants have also found a workplace elsewhere in the building.
