WILLEMSTAD - The Caribbean law firm HBN Law and the tax office DCTL (formerly KPMG Meijburg & Co. Caribbean) will merge as HBN Law & Tax on 1 June. This creates the largest legal and tax service provider in the Dutch Caribbean, according to managing partner Eric de Vries, who also has two offices in the Netherlands.
The new HBN Law & Tax has more than fifty lawyers and tax advisors. They work at offices in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. The office also has branches in Amsterdam and Rotterdam - the small Rotterdam branch originally belonged to DCTL -. Including support staff, HBN Law & Tax consists of more than one hundred people.
