WILLEMSTAD - The Public Health Inspectorate apologizes to surgeon Patrick Fa Si Oen. The doctor was discredited in 2017 because he would not have his diplomas in order.
The inspection states that he had requested that he submit his international registration at the time. The doctor then requested his papers in Belgium and submitted them as well as a Dutch BIG registration that must be regularly updated.
The Inspectorate states that it has never doubted the experience and competences of Fa Si Oen. His authority is not questioned either. In a press release, the inspectorate claims to have acted incorrectly and unnecessarily by tarnishing the doctor’s good reputation.
