WILLEMSTAD - The Public Health Inspectorate does not have to intervene at the Betèsda nursing home. The quality of care is not at risk. This is the conclusion of the Health Inspectorate after an investigation at the nursing home.
A news report prompted the investigation. It stated that the shortage of government subsidies is so great that the elderly have to share their own meal. Minister of Health Dorothy Pietersz-Janga has also taken a closer look. Nor did she recognize the complaints expressed in the media. Nevertheless, the minister has ordered an action plan. This plan should guarantee the quality of care across the board, especially in institutions that receive government subsidies.
