WILLEMSTAD - Healthcare costs must fall by at least 60 million guilders in order to run the new hospital profitably.
This can be deduced from a presentation given by experts at Curaçao Medical Center (CMC), the new hospital. If that does not work, the premium should be increased by 20 percent.
The experts believe that there is much to be gained in the field of medication use, costs for the specialist, laboratory costs and sending patients for health care abroad.
