Healthcare Inspectorate: Penalty payment for Sehos looming

Local | By Correspondent September 25, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - Patient care in the Sint Elisabeth Hospital (Sehos) must be normalized within one, but at the latest two weeks. This is according to Inspector General Sirving Keli of the Healthcare Inspectorate. If not, the Inspectorate can impose a penalty.

At the beginning of July, the Inspectorate issued a statement to Sehos in which, first of all, orders must be submitted to the Inspectorate in advance so that they meet the efficiency rules. Sehos also had to resume providing financial information to the Inspectorate. These points of the budgetary instruction have since been met. The last point, normalization of patient care, has not been met yet.

According to the Inspector General, patient care is normalized when business operations are adjusted and operations, including non-acute ones, are resumed.
