WILLEMSTAD - Heineken and Distribier Kòrsou warn consumers in Curaçao against glass flakes in bottles of beer. This concerns bottles with a screw cap of the types Original Pure Malt Lager, 0.0 and Silver.
The importer says that bottles with screw caps are imported here without permission through unofficial channels. In the Netherlands, the bottles in question are sold in wholesalers, in supermarkets, at liquor stores and through online stores.
With these bottles there is the possibility that glass flakes come loose from the bottom and end up in the beer. It only concerns the 25cl bottles with specific product code.
Bottles without screw caps, which are officially imported here, have no problems with glass flakes. Anyone who has bought bottles with the specific product codes can exchange them at the official importer Distribier Kòrsou.
