WILLEMSTAD - The asphalting of the Helmin 'Magno' Wiels Boulevard is postponed. The government reports this in a press release. The road was supposed to be asphalted on October 25, but maintenance will be carried out later due to a lack of asphalt.
According to the Public Works (OW) the road is in a bad condition and maintenance work has to be carried out. OW reports that the maintenance is part of a project called Life Extension, which was announced by Minister of Transport, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP) Charles Cooper.
The asphalting of the road will now begin on November 14. The work will take place in two phases. First the left lane will be maintained and then the right lane. The work will take approximately one month.
