WILLEMSTAD - According to Clifton Wallé, spokesman for Hospital Nobo Otrobanda, the hospital turned out to be about 200 million guilders more expensive due to the many extra costs incurred in recent years, which are to be paid now.
He refers among other things to claims by Balast Nedam, but also to the enormous costs incurred to clean the site in Otrobanda and payments made to Sehos due to the poor financial situation of the old hospital.
The building itself is not more expensive than what was planned in 2011, according to Wallé. But a lot of extra costs have been added throughout the project.
