WILLEMSTAD - The delay in the delivery of the new hospital is the result of the takeover of Ballast Nedam in 2016 by the Turkish construction group Renaissance.
It had to invest 340 million guilders into Ballast Nedam to keep the construction company afloat. According to insiders, the Turkish employees work slightly differently from the Dutch and therefore delays have occurred.
HNO should have been delivered on March 31. The grand opening is scheduled for November 15.
