WILLEMSTAD – Sandals Foundation Ambassadors from Sandals Royal Curaçao brought the magic of the season to a large number of children following the careful delivery of over 1,390 toys to various schools, afterschool-programs, children’s institutes and organizations within the communities, creating unforgettable experiences for the young ones. Volunteer and guests spend a week excitedly wrapping all the gifts for the children.
The initiative which took place between December 8th until December 19th included gift-wrapping days and thereafter events for children from the east to the west side of the island featuring games, snacks, ice-cream, cookies, songs and off course the gifts. The Sandals Foundation is extremely grateful for the support provided by transport company FBTT, which supported transportation throughout the Toy Drive week. On the first day, FBTT transported hundreds of children to the event on the eastern side of the island. During the remainder of the week, FBTT continued to assist with transportation to various locations, while Sandals Foundation volunteers distributed gifts and snacks.

For 13 years, the Sandals Foundation’s annual toy distribution has been a cherished tradition for communities across the Caribbean, creating memories and joy to last a lifetime. This holiday season, the Sandals Foundation proudly partnered with three leading forces in the US toy industry, Spin Master, Jazwares, and The Toy Foundation™, to deliver 45,000 toys to children across nine Caribbean islands, spreading joy and hope throughout the region.
“The holidays are about hope, the kind that reminds every child that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved,” said Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to our partners SpinMaster, Jazwares, and The Toy Foundation for spreading joy to 45,000 young lives across the Caribbean.”
With all three toy companies stepping into the Caribbean for the first time, children were delighted with puzzles, Rubik’s Cubes, PAW Patrol figurines, plushies and more from Spin Master; building blocks and dinosaur figurines from The Toy Foundation; and Squishmallows plush toys from Jazwares.
The holiday spirit was made complete by the many Sandals Royal Curaçao employees and guests who generously volunteered and gave their time, wrapping and preparing more than 1,000 gifts to bring joy to children.
