WILLEMSTAD - With the traditional horse parade, the first of a large number of carnival parades started yesterday.
The parade started at the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) and went via the Breedestraat to Palu Blanku, then crossed the Rooseveltweg and Jan Noorduynweg, and ended at Esperamos.
A total of nine groups participated with 300 participants and 120 horses. The 50th edition of the carnival ends on Tuesday 25 February with the Marche di Despedida, the farewell parade.
