WILLEMSTAD - The new hospital, the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) is at great risk of getting into financial difficulties due to the corona crisis. A deficit of 18 to 24 million guilders is expected because care was on the back burner during the first months of the crisis.
The surgery program was stopped, and no more money came in. The CMC has not yet received financial support from the government to ease the effects of the corona crisis.
