WILLEMSTAD - The fact that the construction of the new hospital is not ready yet is to be blamed on Ballast Nedam. The construction company wanted to even stop the opening, but the judge ruled against them in a summary proceeding.
Ballast cannot stop the opening if the company itself is to blame for not meeting agreements. Reason for the judge to rule that the hospital can be opened, if the Public Health Inspector gives the green light. And that happened on Thursday night. The Health Inspector gave the green light for the opening on Friday morning.
