WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao hotel industry wants to help monitor incoming travelers. This is according to epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth.
Currently, up to 10,000 tourists are allowed to enter the country per month, but the hotel industry would like to see this grow.
According to Gerstenbluth, this can only be achieved with a better, but also more labor-intensive monitoring system. The Ministry of Public Health is in talks with the hotel industry about this, which would like to cooperate.
