WILLEMSTAD - The hotels which will open starting July 1 expect to fill no more than 20 to 25 percent of the rooms.
This is evident from a sample of 8 hotels conducted by the Curaçao Hotel and Tourism Association (CHATA). From tomorrow, approximately 60 percent of the number of hotel rooms will be available in the entire hotel sector.
In the coming weeks, CHATA expects to see mainly friends and family or people who travel for business. Only after July 15, a flow of tourists with package tours is expected.
