WILLEMSTAD - Human Rights Caribbean says with great concern that it has taken note in the media about the visit of Undersecretary Raymond Knops to the foreigners’ barracks on the premised of the prison in Koraal Specht last week.
According to the human rights organization, nothing has been said about the fact that there are Venezuelan refugees who have been deprived of their freedom. Earlier Amnesty International and the Ombudsman, among others, sounded the alarm about this.
According to the organizations, an important opportunity has been missed to help ensure that Venezuelan refugees are treated fairly in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
