WILLEMSTAD – Instituto Buena Bista (IBB), Curaçao’s leading center for contemporary art, has launched a new open call in collaboration with the Amarte Fund titled IBB x Amarte: Dream Fusion. The initiative invites visual artists based on Curaçao to develop new, meaningful projects in partnership with organizations or professionals from the healthcare or education sectors.

Through this open call, artists are encouraged to collaborate with institutions, practitioners or communities in care or education and jointly explore the questions, tensions and aspirations that exist within these fields. At the intersection of art and care, art and education, imagination and everyday reality, the organizers see opportunities for new perspectives and forward-looking ideas to emerge.
The call is open to a wide range of project formats, including new art projects, educational interventions and creative approaches to existing social challenges. Proposals must be artistically strong and demonstrate a clear social or educational impact. Projects that open up hopeful perspectives and contribute to a shared future for Curaçao are particularly encouraged.
Four projects will be selected under the Dream Fusion program. Each selected project will receive a working budget to carry out the proposed activities. In addition, IBB will provide tailored guidance in project development, education and marketing, as well as support with networking and project management. Where appropriate, IBB students may also be involved in the projects.
The deadline for submitting proposals is March 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (AST). The selected artists will be announced in the second half of April 2026.
