WILLEMSTAD - The police ended a party on Friday evening that was held at Royal Marina in Piscadera. There were more than a hundred guests and alcohol was served.
That is against the current corona measures. The police have decided not to fine those present. It has been decided, however, to send more officers out into the street for checks in the evening.
The owner of Royal Marina has been fined, and the venue has also been closed immediately.
Minister Quincy Girigorie of Justice was on a police check on Friday evening. He commented on the situation on a Facebook page of one of the local newspapers. He was shocked by the fact that more than 100 people were partying against all the rules.
A total of 12 entertainment venues were checked on Friday and Saturday. Six businesses were closed for non-compliance.
