IMF expects the Curaçao economy to shrink by 23 percent

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao economy shrinks by 23 percent as a result of the government's corona measures. This is according to the report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In April and May, 3,500 employees have already lost their jobs here in Curaçao. At the end of this month, around 400 people will also lose their jobs at the refinery.

According to the IMF, employment in Curaçao will decrease by 10 percent in total.
