WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday, an unfortunate industrial accident at Damen Shiprepair resulted in injuries to two employees. According to reliable sources, the incident occurred when one of the workers' arms got caught between a drill during a repair operation.
The two individuals were performing drilling activities on steel structures of ships undergoing repairs at the dock. Tragically, another staff member drilling nearby was struck by a piece of steel, causing injuries including bruised ribs and a head injury.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene and both injured workers were swiftly transported to the hospital via ambulance. As of now, there is no available information regarding their current condition.
