WILLEMSTAD, ORANJESTAD - Two passengers flew from Curaçao to Bonaire yesterday with a Divi Divi Aircraft. Upon arrival, they were found to have tested positive for Covid-19.
Immediately after arrival, contact was made with the Public Health Department (GGD) and Island Lieutenant-Governor Eidson Rijna to arrange the matter as well as possible. Germaine Richie-Durand of Divi Divi Air confirmed yesterday that passengers from Peru have come to Curaçao with a negative test.
They were tested again on Curaçao, but they were able to fly to Bonaire before the results of the test in Curaçao were known. Once there, it became clear that the two were infected, they were immediately quarantined.
Divi Divi Air says it regrets the situation.
