WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP) under the leadership of Minister Charles Cooper has launched an integrity investigation into certain Public Works employees. According to the ministry, the investigation was launched in response to complaints about the integrity of those employees.
The Ministry of VVRP emphasizes in a statement that the investigation will take place based on the principle of “innocent until proven guilty”. The ministry has not disclosed what exactly the complaints are. But these would be complaints from contractors who noted that a lot goes wrong with tenders. The employees concerned would thereby give certain contractors preferential treatment for certain assignments.
